A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM: CHARACTER ASSIGNMENT 2



LYSANDER FACEBOOK PROFILE PAGE:

Lysander is most probably one of the most interesting characters in Shakespeare's play " A Midnight Summer's Dream." Lysander, from the beginning of the play, is the rebel. The reject. The play starts as Egeus, the father to the girl that Lysander loves, Hermia, is complaining to the king about lysander. Egeus wants his daughter to marry Demetrius, but she instead loves Lysander, and Demetrius himself has a girlfriend, Helena, according to Lysander. Lysander and Hermia soon escape into the woods, and are followed by Helena and Demetrius. It is in the woods that a lot happens, and it is where most of the play unfolds. From Lysander being somewhat rejected by Hermia, Helena being rejected by Dmetrius in the harshest way possible, Lysander falling mad in love with Helena thanks to Puck just messing up, the big fight that ensued among the four lovers and finally them waking up in the presence of the king. Lysanderis a very interesting character, and a determined one too, as he always wants to win over Hermia, to make her his.

WHAT I CHOSE TO DO AND WHY

For my second character assignment, I decided to make Lysander his own Facebook account, complete with even some Facebook friends such as Hermia, Helena and the one and only Bottom. I chose to do this because it was simple enough and because its Facebook; who doesn't use Facebook? I have also included some things that "Lysander" posted, including his undying love for Hermia.The background "Boyz in tha Hood" just symbolizes Lysander's rebel kind of side, as he is never Egeus' favourite from even the very beginning of the play. His posts just depict his love for Hermia and how much he despises Demetrius.

For our English Poetry Project, we had to first choose five poems with the same message and, if you could, from the same author. On was supposed to write a commentary on one, memorize one and recite it in front of the class, and perform a task ( from a list ) for each of the remaining poems. A Midsummer Night's Dream - Act 2 Scene 2

A Midsummer Night's Dream, a play written by William Shakespear at around 1595 or 1596, is an interesting work of art. It talks about quite a number of characters in rather different situations throughout the play. Be it the group of actors preparing for what seems to be the biggest play of their lives, or the two couples and their endless troubles. The play has many twists and turns, a lot of dark humor, drama; it is basically a fun adventure, for any age and time. ACT 2 SCENE 2 Act 2 scene 2 is a rather interesting part of the whole play, as it shows the relationships between Hermia and Lysander and Helena and Demetrius. It also shows the relationship between Titania and Oberon. Our task was to identify five unique things or scenes going on in that section of the play.
